Come experience music inspired by the glory of nature with Aaron Copland’s Suite from Appalachian Spring and other beautiful songs by American composers. a program that is one of the most appealing and interesting concerts that Music Director Chris Shepard has ever designed. Aaron Copland's beloved Appalachian Spring-- a piece for orchestra alone-- is the inspiration for the program. The program is complimented by the sound of old-time tradition dulcimer played by Carol Walker and a specially commissioned work by Martin Sedek. The same 13-instrument chamber ensemble used for Copland's instrumental suite will also play for two newly commissioned works written by Masterwork’s associate conductor Martin Sedek. One of the works, Whispers of the Wood will be premiered by Masterwork during the concert. Please be advised that masks are required for all patrons while attending the concert.
